Alcohol is close to 90% sugar. So weight management might entail limiting consumption. If you can only have one or two drinks that would be ideal. If you find that once you start, you can’t stop, that’s another issue entirely.

hello i have same problem cant keep lid on a bottle wine i cabt drink much of other things lager cider spirits is no no disgusting, i stopped 3 months twice none alcohol helped the 2nd time and sweets but i dont eat them now,it took about 2 weeks tgen i wasnt botherred wonderred why i ever drank, i started again lockdown winter bordom pain relief i have trigiminal nuralgia cold air triggers it the wine took it away i gradually build up and started drinking nearly every night again as was unhappy, i am unsure what im doing now had some cider on saturday but not the full 4 pack i wasnt even botherd but it was there and i wanted a long drink not tea and to sleep it made me wake early i felt lousy and guilty, i foccus on that and the more nights you dont drink the closer you are to getting out of the habit good luck 🤗
i can moderate but then binge if binge is problem abd lossibilty really we need to stop as it can be v dangerous, im glad im going swimming again im focing myself it was my best tonic
Good morning..I really agree with your comments, keep up the swimming ,it’s so great for your mental well-being! I started going about a year ago and do so at leat 3 times a week and love it especially using the sauna afterwards…that’s where I’m off to now…have a great day everyone
I’m still keeping up the minimal alcohol intake. Had a blip last week ..poured a glass of Prosecco which turned into one more and another. Actually woke up with a headache which reminded me of the horrible morning after feeling. Back on track and feeling good swimming a few times a week. Fridge stocked up on nice fruit juices and Nozecco! 😇 Hubbys still unwell therefore more of a reason to stay sober.
