Following mums heart operation and bilateral strokes , doctors said its delirium. Now they are saying it might be dementia. They did MRI scan yesterday and dementia specialist are assessing her today. We are terrified. We are hoping its not dementia? Anyone been through this?

We need some more information as to why they think it is dementia, it could just be the response to the areas of the bran affected from the stroke. My stroke cause me to have “executive functioning” problems, google it...but i dont have dementia
