Back problems post-stroke?

Hi all,

I just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced back problems after their stroke? I'm a year down the line after suffering two simultaneous strokes and have done really well, but a recent trip to the chiropractor determined that my right side has twisted as a result of compensating for my left weaker side. It's costing a lot in chiropractor visits that he sorting it out.

And if no one has experience this - please do keep an eye on your posture!

Best wishes to all

In my case my neck muscles are really knotted and my whole back, ears to ankles, aches pretty much all of the time, but I don't know if that's typical, but /I AM pleased with the progress I HAVE made;-) best wishes to everyone and particularly those who still struggle - keep your head up and you'll improve! so much better than the alternative;-)

Hi.

Yes I had my Stroke in 1998 at the age off 32.

The Stroke effected my left hand side, leaving deaf in the ear, blind in the eye, no feeling in the whole side top to my foot.

I had some radio surgery on the base off my brain in 2005 which instantly gave me chronic pain all down my right side.

The pain (CRPS) runs down my right side including my lower back. I'm currently awaiting funding from the "NHS" for my one & only treatment avalible. I have tried every med since 2005 with no joy.

I have been told by 6 + consultants at 4+ NHS hospitals that I have only got "ONE" treatment left but the "NHS" refuses to fund "it"

Great Nice One NHS !!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the rant.

Please let me know if I can help you ????

Trying to keep things light hearted I tell people I know that as the NHS c an't afford the six million dollar man treatment, I'm on their half crown bloke scheme, though, to be fair I have had a lot of support and treatments to get me on the right track;-) I have a t'shirt design I'm working on at the moment - the Half Crown Bloke!!
