Yes I do! Since the dreaded fatigue set in I haven't slept one natural wink. I now rely on zopiclone to get me my sleep each night but of course my body gets used to it and what was 8 hrs sleep is going down & down. The doc. Is looking for other drugs which cannot be blocked by the fatigue devil. Hope you get sorted.

My husband had his stroke in 2013, and yes he has suffered from various types of insomnia. It was finally diagnosed of sleeping fear. Afraid to go to sleep in case they do not wake up or have another stroke in their sleep. It is something over which they have no control and do not even realise what it is. All they know is that they are not sleeping well. It might be this and some gentle analysis might help. talk to the specialist nurse in your local stroke unit. Hope things are worked out for you.

Hello.

My husband had a stroke 2years ago now and hasn't slept properly since. He has to take a sleeping tablet every night, and even though he sleeps, it's not really a natural sleep. The doctors tried him on anti-depressants but they just made him drowsy. Sorry not better news. Hope you get it sorted.

I had two strokes in 2015, and have not slept properly since. I am reluctant to get sleeping pills as I take enough tablets. I am very surprised at myself cos obviously I am not getting enough proper sleep yet I can still function. Perhaps not as good as I did but that is for others to judge. I try not to worry about it and, on really bad days, I take things very easy etc. But then I am 85 years old. It must be harder if you are younger and having to keep on with every day living. Just don't let the b,,,,,,,,, get you down.

2stroke - I lost my husband in 2014, two strokes in 2015 and no one close at hand to help me. I did not think I would get through it but I did so I must be stronger than I thought. Lovely to chat on this site - it does help a lot. Thank you all.
