You are administering Insulin as per doctors advise. You please follow him for any adjustments in your doses.

You can use some oral anti-diabetics with insulin,like acarbose.and maintain diet and exercise also as per body requirements.

Please do not mistake me-I think your attitude is to change. If you think the advice in this columns could replace your doctor's (hope you are seeing a good endocrinologist) then you are not correct. Whether it is large or correct quantity of Insulin-only your doctor should decide.

It is comical to see people advising without even understanding whether the person is young or old, Type I or Type II, how long he/she is diabetic, previous history etc.and some of he replies are (invariably) hidden promotional effort. I do not understand why this website is allowing quacks advertisements in the name of advice/reply. Why do people ask to email or to contact personally.

What is this forum for then?
