All medicines are chemicals and they do have side effects if used for long time. The Doctors do lookout for any adverse symptoms by conducting kidney and liver function tests etc. There are many people who were on drugs even for longer periods(me,for example) without any significant adverse effects. But,be cautious.

That means illness (Diabetes) continues to exist! Existence of any illness is not desirable. Chemical medicine intake adds more side-effects. Longer period means still more problems. That is why I took a different, non-conventional route explained in my article, link given below.

Diabetes is a fundamental disorder. It is comparable with low voltage in an electric circuit. In both cases all connected subsystems will under-perform and will fail in due course. Diab impairs the glucose (SUGAR) & oxygen supply to ALL CELLS of the patient. You cannot compensate the resultant weakness with liquor, food or medicines.

I was diabetic from 2006; but NOT diabetic from 2009. I studied Diabetes thoroughly, because it was to solve MY problem.

Do you want to see my experience and blood sugar history from 2006 to 2013? Those are reported at: appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... If you want only MODUS OPERANDI, GO TO appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel...

Please report your future experience (good or bad) here for the benefit of others.

I am a type 2 diabetic now for 27 odd years (now 52 years old), solely on oral medication. As long as you keep your sugar level under control then there is no problem. Elevated blood sugar levels create other problems for the body. As usual the normal healthy foods do apply. Try not to indulge yourself frequently.

Diabetes has now become a way of life for me.

My current medicines are i) Euglim 4mg BDAC, ii) Glyciphase SR 1g BDPC iii) Thyronorm 75 mg OD at empty stomach. My Sugar level last 2 months ago i)FBS 140 unit. For the last 14 years regular oral medicines have controlled my sagar level. Doctor suggested to go through insulin last year but i requested to continue oral medicines.
