without the other details like your BSL-pp,fasting,randum, age, etc. one cannot suggest to stop insulin and shift on tablets.

Type of Diabetes you have, Glycemic levels of Fasting and postprandial levels of sugar and HbA1c index are all necessary please.

Normaly Insulin is secreated by Pancreas, an Endo & exocrinal gland which effect on bodycells to take energy from sugar.Once its working is poor oral drugs are given to stimulate secreation more of insulin . Due to many reason once production is stopped external insulin is supplimented to keep normal life in form of injection .Therefore as per your requirements ifinsulin you are taking ,it is advised to continue it forever . never give up.
