Type 1 is seen in very young adults.They have no option but to depend on insulin for life since the body is incapable of producing any insulin.Doctor's help is a must.

Type 2 manifests in later life in 30s and after. In this type there may be little or insufficient production of insulin and the body may not be able to utilize the available insulin also.Drugs,exercise,lifestyle changes etc are needed to manage the sugar levels.Consultation with a specialist doctor is very much advisable.
