is occasional forgetting of tablets, affect diabetics seriously?

I think, one should not forget the medicine for diabetics. But how serious it can get really depends on the level or degree of the sugar level. My question in this regard is some medicines are supposed to be taken 10 to 15 minutes before meals. What happens if one forgets and start the meal. Then on remembering, the medicine is taken? Is it not going to have the desired effect?.

Take your dose ,the moment you remember the missed dose. But if your very near to next dose,skip it and continue as usual the next dose.
