Go for morning walk for minimum 45 minutes. Take lot of green vegetables and eat Kheera/Kakdi everyday.

For Diabetic particularly type 2 following is suggested: it is to be ensured that a) calorie intake to be limited to around 1800 per day constituting major part as protein say 50% and nearly 20% complex carbohydrates say wholegrains and rest unsaturated and fats containing omega3 b) Daily allowance may be distributed in 6 meals 3 major and 3 minor c) Regular exercise such as brisk walk for 30 to 40 minutes d) Regular medicines prescribed by Doctor e) smoking strictly No and alcohol if taken, in moderation say one to one and half peg of 30 ml maximum on one occasion and not more than 2-3 times a week f) No binging on food and drinks take small quantities only g) snacking strictly on salt free nuts such as peanuts, almonds, walnuts etc. or piece of fruit. Fruits which can be taken are Papaya, Guava, Watermelon, apple, Berries of generally all types, pomegranates. Banana can be be taken but only half a banana at a time. Mango only one or two slices. Cheeku to be avoided.One thing to be remembered that total daily quota of calories not to be exceeded. Regular exercise is must since lack of activity will definitely be bad not only for sugar but also for other complications which diabetics may have. In order to avoid excess calorie intake it is suggested that immediately before major meals a salad of cucumber, tomatoes, carrots and other green vegetables is taken which will satiate the hunger and will be filling and control calorie intake.
