Insulin dependents have no alternatives. But non insulin dependents who manage with drugs,can burn the excess sugar by exercises,walking say 4 kms in day and evening(Twice a day and reduce food intake to the extent considered enough,avoid or reduce rice and rice preparations,Take plenty of water to dilute the sugar content in blood.Good monitoring and avoiding sugar escape through urine is most important to avoid kidney damage Always discuss the subject with frequent consultations with audiologists and have counseling of the dos and don's of diets and supplements.
