Hello, Sir, My age is 53 years, Male, I got diagnosed with Diabetics and before breakfast it is 190 and after breakfast it is 300, and I am using 500 mg 1 tablet before breakfast, and Erictel –CH-40 one tablet after breakfast, since last 6 months, still when I re – check it will be same.

And my body is melting too, hands legs, have become too slim. Weight is 70 kgs.

My question is what you prescribe me for a healthy life. I hate eating medicines.

There is no point in getting fed up with tablets. You are still young and have a long way to go.So,prepare for a long drawn out battle. It is difficult but well within your reach. In this battle you have to equip yourself with thorough knowledge about the disorder.Correct diet, adequate exercise, stress free and disciplined life style are your tools. If you still fall short of the target, you have to depend on medicines prescribed by a competent doctor.Your present levels are not all acceptable.

Fasting blood sugar should be less than 100 mg/dL. Post prandial blood sugar should be less than 140 mg/dL.

* Adopt low carbohydrate diet.

* Do not consume food after 7:00 pm.

* Eat small meals, more times in a day.

* Brisk walking daily for about 30 minutes.

* Learn in detail about Type 2 diabetes and it's complications.

* Check your blood sugar daily.

* Adopt insulin therapy in consultation with a diabetologist.

You should undergo the following tests periodically.

A: HbA1c. HbA1c is a lab test that shows the average level of blood sugar (glucose) over the previous 3 months. It shows

how well you are controlling your diabetes.

B: Control your high Blood pressure, if any. Normal blood pressure- <120/80 mmHg.

C: Control your blood Cholesterol: Normal cholesterol < 200 mg/dL. LDL <100 mg/dL HDL > 40 mg/dL Triglyceride < 150 mg/dL.

D: Diabetic education. Dental check-up should be done in every 6 months.

E: Eye examination for glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and cataract.

F: Foot examination

G: Glucose monitoring. Fasting or postprandial blood sugar may be checked daily and avoid foods that elevates blood sugar.

H: Health maintenance immunization against influenza and pneumococcal pneumonia.

I: Indications for specialty care. Heart (ECG, Echocardiography, Tread mill test), kidney (Kidney function tests), Liver (Liver function tests), Eye examination, etc should be checked periodically by concerned specialists.

* Overall, the risk for death among people with diabetes is about twice that of people of similar age without diabetes.

* Adults with diabetes have heart disease death rates about 2 to 4 times higher than adults without diabetes.

* The risk for stroke is 2 to 4 times higher among people with diabetes.

ERITEL-CH 40 is a medicine for High Blood pressure not Diabetes. Your weight is slightly above normal so dont think you are underweight. You have not written about your HbA1c which is correct measure of Average Blood sugar for last 3 months. Ensure you go for a Brisk walk for 40 minutes every day and restrict your food intake with carbohydrate not more than about 20 to 30 percent of your total calories. Divide your total food in 4 occasions and total calorie intake not more than 1800 per day. Your diabetes medicine is not much and probably can be brought down to nil if you go for a diet control and exercise. See your doctor and follow his advice.

dear happy111 let me tell you three myths about diabetes

1. it is not heriditary

2.need not take tablets through out your life

it is not because of work pressure

pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeese try to understand it is just deficiency of insulin in your body (im sorry my english is bad ) allow your body to fight itself if your body is defeated then try medicnie at small doses im confident yu can do it il produce all the documents about my diabetes (i dont call it as a disease) i fought against it

first of all let me tell yu one thing insulin deficiency (or diabetes ) is not just a problem of 21 century even during Alexander peroid also we had this problem!! did all of them were dependent on insulin?? nothing they did not know that they are suffering but human body is such a great machine that it can definitely recover from most of the simple problem like diabetes BP etc allow your body to relax give rest eat more of papaya watermelon etc (or whatever suggested by mr google ) be confident with yourself yu can do miracles

all these homeopathy, allopathy ayurveda unani cannot do anything if you are not strong

all the best
