Sachinmi ,

I tried the below homeo combination for months together with various potencies.

Syzygium jumbolanum + Cephalandra Indica + Gymnema Sylvestrae.

It hardly made an impact on my blood sugar.

I agree with you Sachinmi . Proper diet, physical activity/exercise and stress-free life are three key things.

I use and have been using it in powder form, one spoon twice daily after meals. There is a combination of Gymnema sylvestra,Karela[bitter guard],jamun, Bel Patra and Kalmegh. It helps in keeping blood sugar levels under control without any side effects.

sorry it helps to reduce sugar levels only marginally and can be best compared to the effect of 500mgs of metformin.thats all. and no more.dont depend on this alone

Thanks for the information. If it is as good as metmorfin, I would be happy.

Please consider the side effects of Metformin compare to this mixture. Also,in addition to this mixture,Diabecon [ayurvedic medicine] from Himalaya is taken twice after meals to keep BS under control but also prevents complications of diabetes. Other western medicines are good in maintaining BS level but what about complications of diabetes.Diabetes is not a disease but the complications of diabetes like nervous system, metabolism, kidneys, blood circulation systems etc are also to be taken care of and not just lowering BS sugar. And for this ayurvedic medicines are good, may be slow, but without side effects.

I did not try tablets . I tried it in powder form along with Tinaspora and Azaridicta indica for some time . Right now I am using Turmeric and Amla . I never used any modern medicines .

Thanks for the information Hidden . How much teaspoons/grams of Gymnema+ Tinaspora+ Azaridicta indica you took and how long? How frequently you change your natural/indian medicines?

I took combination of Tinaspora and Azaridicta leaves boiled in water and reduced to half in quantity two spoons per day once in morning and once in night for two months . Then I changed the combination toTurmeric and Amla powders in a glass of water boiled , reduced to half quantity for two months . After that I took Gymnema powder bought in Ayurveda shop for two months . I take Ashwagandha powder the same way . There is no specific schedule now . I keep on changing the combinations every now and then . some times I take fresh Aloevera gel one spoon daily for 15 days . I read in some article long back that taking medicines after some age keeps us healthy where as in youth we have to take only when the problem arises . we should not take any herb for too long and too much . Just as we take different vegetables and fruits which are seasonal we can take these herbals . This schedule , I feel made me rather healthy in other health problems also . I never get coughs , colds , fevers ,digestive problems . vertigo, headaches , body aches , fatigues , weaknesses etc . I attend to all household chores with out any problem whatsoever . I never have had any need to take any tablet for any ailments . A Buddhist monk once told me this secret for health . This may not work out for all in the same way as I do pranayama .

I too keep changing combination of powders but keeping one powder constant... Gymnema sylvestra. There is one more combination... Fenugreek, Ajwain and Kali ziri.250,100,50,g

But I found Tinaspora more effective than Gynmema as it attends to all thre doshas . Fenugreek , saunf , kalazeera . zinger , Turmeric all are very good for gastrointestinal problems since diabetes is said to be the result dysfunctional gut . Liver is said to be second brain and any thing which throws liver out of gear affects brain also sooner or later .All these ingredients act very well but in a slow and sure manner. People who are used to modern medicine do not understand the sure success method of thee things as they do not give instant , quick fix solutions . In fact there is no need to search for quick fix solutions as all the herbs never give a chance to go for any medicine if they are taken daily as a part of diet .What ever may be the procedure excess food , junk food & irregular food are the main culprits in any health problem which have to be avoided at any cost .

I fully agree with you.And one more thing.I have observed most of the members are busy in calculations giving the impression that they have only one goal in life.....running behind diabetes. It is just one phase of life, there are many other things to do.Enjoy the life and not mathematics.

Can we give these herbs to children under 10 havi6 type1?

in reply to Bhoomav

Type1 is a different condition and that too in case of children it is always better to be under a specialist's guidance . As it is nothing wrong in giving these herbs to them with constant monitoring . I gave in some other problem , some of these herbs to my grand son .

Please give up some grain food for one month, eat over ground veg, very healthy.

There are small grain, "Thani" and Kurukan" Tamil word, you can powder it and make ediappam, puto, or boil the small grain like rice.

Give it a try. Carbohydrate is what you need to watch!!
