Are bananas,mangoes etc. totally prohibited ,for Type Ii diabetes patients?

It is not totally prohibited but since these contain high sugar, you have to take in moderation and balance the total calorie intake. Half banana of a small banana or one-two small pieces of mango not full mango) will be OK occasionally but keep in mind you have to balance total daily intake to nearly 1800 calories. This is my understanding but you can consult your Doctor also.

Absolutely right. I am take a small banana twice or thrice a week replacing some other fruits. The important thing is that we need to be careful that the sugar level should be in prescribed range.

One may take a banana if you are taking diabetic .mangoes are too sweet!

If you additionally also have Chronic Kidney Diseace and your potassium levels are low, you are permitted to have one banana a day. Mangoes, may be a small slice or two - nothing more, if your BS is within range.

You can eat any fruit in moderation if you are under insulin therapy. It is better that you should not eat ripe fruits rich in sugar if You don't have no adequate control on your blood sugar level.

Bananas contain high Potassium. Max 2 bananas a day is alright. Those who have Kidney problem should limit the intake of Banana. I take only 1 Banana a day with my cereal,
