Awareness to the parents......!!!!!!!!

My dear parents of the kids who are diabetes, u must have lot of mental strength and hard work to to bring up a child who is diabetes. most of us get desperate thinking the branded name 'the killer disease". has took its place in my child too. And many many other thoughts but hope u can follow some of these steps that can make all happy.

@ NEVER DISCOURAGE OR TREAT THEM SICK.

Its natural when kids get this illness it makes them lazy and tiring. They may be backward in their works,studies and many other things. So try to learn from a doctor how they feel and why such things happen. once the sugar is controlled the child can do all the daily routines as good as it was earlier. if younger kids are there tell them also whats it and make sure that the child is given all the support and help for its studies and career.When the illness is unnoticed the child was addicted to laziness and sleep, normally for some long period and therefore ,the child or any child will never like for a returning to hard work situation . So there is all possibilities for a drop in studies and a darken future. even if the parents are rich enough to provide everything ,they should make an interest in the child to win his or her own living. Do not make them stand away from anything that normal kids do.Instead please do be with them unknowingly ,find time to watch them and understand what they are? Try to find if they are really sick or they are able to do things? cos there can be some exceptions as in normal cases ,the child is not good as others in doing things or studies. In such cases you should also feel he or she can do only such and appreciate that, than make them carry a bigger stone.All parents have a dream of their kids and so make a dream with these kids too, and see that they are forced to do their work and show that they will get good results. Ur encouragement and the good results will bring confident in the child. Do not allow only sleep and watching tv or with the computer thinking its better to be there than go out eat and increase their sugar.But remember there will be times when in times they may really fall sick due to some other infections or their small worries that can rise the sugar level.And thats more enough to squeeze the kid to laziness and sleep.At this time dont keep them working take them to the doctor be with them give care and then again back just as any kids have some illness due to any reasons.

@ DO NOT RESTRICT ONLY THE DIABETES KID TO A STRICT DIET ,BUT MAKE A DIET FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY BALANCED .

Never say" donts "a lot to the diabetic kid.,instead only restrict in taking milk,tea,coffee with sugar. make a diet that suits all cos nowadays all beauty and health conscious people do follow this diet. decrease feasting days, make breakfast that includes vegetables or grams like idl,i dosa with sambar, vegetable curry,channa, etc etc. for snacks on holidays and evenings promote green salads with a little fruit pieces. fruits like guava, papaya, apple , one plantin or banana makes no harm when taken, cos they are insulin dependents. When they ask for an icecream or chocolate dont tell NO, cos that may make them take two instead of one and do more harm, then that may become a habit to take sweets unknowingly and increase the dosage of insulin. Instead if u make them understand and have knowingly with adjusting the diet and maintaining the dosage of insulin. See that always a glass of water is given before any meal. do not give long intervals between each meal. instead of giving three big meals give six small serves. Give light skimmed butter milk ,lemon juice , green tea, and milk shakes with low sweet. Give steamed brunches made of wheat or rice with different taste each day instead of bread, biscuits ,chips mixture or non sweet bakery foods, digestion rate is slower in a diabetic and the stomach blots up soon. always train slow and good eating habits, Never take insulin after food but ten minutes before the food is served.

Use fish and meat (chicken ) also in the diet. Please dont make them stuff all type of vadas, it does a lot of harm than sweets.Make pop corns, channa boiled, green leaves, vegetable soups . Make changes in the diet dont keep giving the same each day. so parents they need ur help and support till they are able to do it by themselves remember that.cos after many years as i think now they too will think." IF I HAD TAKEN CARE FROM THE BEGINNING WHAT I HAD LOST NOW WOULD HAVE NOT LOST I WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE HEALTHIER".
