Related Q: any idea how long metformin has been available as an Rx drug in the UK ? Decades I suspect . . . ! ( - think I heard in the USA, it was introduced as late as ?1997?).

Thank you for providing this comprehensive list ! Seems metformin is a very well established drug, having been introduced on prescription . . . in the UK ~1958, . . . & becoming more common in the 70s.
