Hi, I have been prescribed Istamet 50/500 (twice daily) for Sugar & Telmikind AM for BP. Is it ok to take Istamet & Telmikind together or there should be some gap between the two medicine? If Gap is needed how many hours?

Can BP & Sugar Medicine be taken together?
Hi,
Different medication react differently as we all are different in many ways.
I am afraid you need to ask your doctor this question?
The medication information may help you to understand it.
The information in the below link may help you:
Dear Super-Star
Welcome to the DI forum!
Istamet is a combo drug of Vildagliptin & Metformin and Telmikind AM is a combination of Telmisartan & Amlodipine.
While, there seems to be no drug interaction, however , it is not advisable to take 4 chemicals at a time.
It appears you are taking istamet 50/500 during breakfast and dinner.
May be , you can take the Telmikind AM during lunch time!
Your diet , life style changes and physical exercise, yoga, Pranayam should be first line of defence and I am sure you should be able to minimise medication or even avoid medications ..
There are a lot of NGO' s , Volunteers available in India to take care of your dieary recommendation , lifestyle change , yoga, meditation etc etc which would be helpful...
There are residential programs available in many places where you will have to stay there for 7-10 days where you can learn the tips..
May God bless you...Stay Safe, Stay Healthy
