A compiled list like this, setting out all the areas people with pre diabetes and diabetes must be aware of, could be a useful tool for me and others. I think I will type them out and keep in my bag so that when food shopping, recipes etc it will be a reminder to check items before buying. I expect it will be a bit of an irritation but if we are serious about keeping well we should be making it a part of our routine. Many thanks.

The answer to the question was given my one member.
From the internet.
"The dietary guidelines recommend that carbs provide 45 to 65 percent of your daily calorie intake. So if you eat a 2000-calorie diet, you should aim for about 225 to 325 grams of carbs per day. But if you need to lose weight, you will get much faster results eating around 50 to 150 grams of carbs"
The food labelling information can be used to calculate below information.
2000-calorie diet, you should aim for about 225 to 325.
1500-calorie diet, you should aim for about 150 to 244.

It is easy to work out a low carb menu. In fact, you should do it yourself depending on your likings and preferences e.g. vegetarian/non-vegetarian/vegan etc. You may get some guidance from the suggested menu to understand the basic concepts. Please follow the link below for more information on the subject.
