What are the symptoms of Insulin Resistance?
Insulin resistance is when cells in your muscles, fat, and liver don’t respond well to insulin and can’t easily take up glucose from your blood. As a result, your pancreas makes more insulin to help glucose enter your cells. As long as your pancreas can make enough insulin to overcome your cells’ weak response to insulin, your blood glucose levels will stay in the healthy range.
The effects of insulin resistance
* Extreme thirst or hunger.
* Feeling hungry even after a meal.
* Increased or frequent urination.
* Tingling sensations in hands or feet.
* Feeling more tired than usual.
* Frequent infections.
* Evidence in blood work.
A fasting serum insulin level greater than 25 mU/L or 174 pmol/L is considered insulin resistance.

I am interested in your post but don't know what these letters stand for. Please let an ignorant person know. Thank you.
Wise people always ask questions.

Welcome to the DI forum! There may not be any noticeable symptoms of insulin resistance particularly in the beginning. gangadharan_nair has already mentioned the usual symptoms above. It is best to go for blood test if you suspect IR. Fasting blood glucose and fasting insulin can be measured and then HOMA -IR , a measure of insulin resistance can be calculated.
If you are at a risk of PCOS, it is better to go for relevant tests. Follow the NHS link below for more information:
Aaro ,
Please go for all the below tests to ascertain of you have IR or not.
1) Fasting Blood Sugar
2) Fasting Serum Insulin
3) HbA1c ( good to know this number and do this test every 3 months to know if your blood sugar level is getting worser or better)
4) Post Prandial Blood Sugar
