That's a very useful post showing sugar content in everyday food. I have saved it for future use. Many thanks. I am borderline diabetic so have to lose weight. I have lost three pounds so far, which isn't a lot but I am eating the right foods and so it's a step in the right direction. Your post certainly highlights the fact that sugar is in everything and to beware!

Thank you.

Life style change, eat small portion of food to start with, cutting out all grains for a while. Regular exercise is very important. Hidden and free sugar in food and drinks is the main cause of sugar problems.!!!

Drink boiled Sri Lanka cinnamon water, soak fenugreek in water, drink the water and eat the soft fenugreek, very good. Methi leaf steamed and curry leaf lots of it in curry and many Asian veg.

Thanks for your advice. I have never heard of the foods you mention though. When I have a moment I'll go on line and check them out. How is it you have such knowledge?

Corn flakes is the biggest lie Kellogs brought in this World. Probably one of the unhealthiest and nutrition scarce things one can ruin their day with.

Glycemic index (GI) is a measure of how quickly a food can make your blood sugar (glucose) rise. Only foods that contain carbohydrates have a GI. Foods such as oils, fats, and meats do not have a GI.

In general, low GI foods increase glucose slowly in your body. Foods with a high GI increase blood glucose quickly.

If you have diabetes, high GI foods can make it harder to control diabetes.
