Recently, I heard about Korralu while in Hyderabad. Apparently, they are known as pearl millet. They look like rice and can be cooked and eaten like rice and hence can be eaten in place of rice. Although, I have not used them yet, one of my friends who is diabetic and is on insulin used them and found significant improvement in sugar levels on the days he ate Korralu. I have yet to find the Marathi equivalent of this millet and its availability here. I also would like to try them if possible.
