They say PP should be below 140 i.e. after 2 hours of lunch. Why random sugar limit is given upto 160 to be normal, 160-200 prediabetes? Randoms means generally more than 2 hours, when sugar level actually should be around 110-120? Any comment?

PP & RBS
Postprondial means only after breakfast i.e you have breakfast after fasting 8 to 10 hours and then test for blood sugar after a gap of 90 to 120 minutes..Post lunch readings will naturally be higher because you might not be eating anything for just about 3 hours. You can treat it as a random reading. Length of fasting period is the critical factor.
Usually, prediabetes is diagnosed with a blood test:-
Fasting blood sugar (glucose) level of:
110 to 125 mg/dL (6.1 mM/L to 6.9 mM/L) – WHO criteria
100 to 125 mg/dL (5.6 mM/L to 6.9 mM/L) – ADA criteria
Two hour glucose tolerance test after ingesting the standardized 75 Gm glucose solution the blood sugar level of 140 to 199 mg/dL (7.8 to 11.0 mM)
Glycated haemoglobin between 5.7 and 6.4 percent
Eating healthy food, losing weight and staying at a healthy weight, and being physically active can help you bring your blood glucose level back into the normal range.

Here's The Chart I Use If It Helps :
Blood Sugar Levels Chart
:
"Fasting value" Then "2 hours after meal"
Normal 70 mg/dl to 99 mg/dl [fasting] > OR Less than 140 mg/dl [after]
Pre-diabetes 100 mg/dl to 125 mg/dl [fasting] > OR 140-199 mg/dl [after]
Diabetes More than 126 mg/dl [fasting] > OR More than 200 [after]
