Hello everyone I am in problem. My RBS is always within 5 to 5.5 but after 2 hours of eating its 9 or above. fasting is around 5 or a bit more of 5. But if I take medicine in a very minimum dose I feel shakiness, dizziness and increased heart rate even just a minimum dose. So I have stopped medicine and take acid cider vinegar at night around 10 ml. But condition is not good. I could not manage it. RBS always normal after 2.30 hours. I have checked almost everyday and found the same thing. but after meal its more. How I can solve this. My doctor told me to stop medicine but the value make me thinking.
Could anyone please help me.

First of all from your readings I find you are absolutely ok. You have no problem.
Your RBS 5.5 mmol/l and fasting at 5 are absolutely normal.
Your 9 after 2 hours is just little more than normal. At best your blood sugars are within pre-diabetic range.
While we don't know what medication you are using , but most of the diabetic medicines lead to swing in insulin level which could cause a bit shaky, sweating, and increase in heart rate.
You may please consult your doctor again to check your BP and heart rate. If required you may have to take some small dose Beta blocker which could reduce and normalise your heart beats.
The ideal way to handle your diabetic is to go for LCHF diet and exercise which could minimise your diabetic medicines.
thank you for your reply. Firstly I was in metformin 500mg but its create shakiness and hypoglycemia. So I have avoid it and now taking some Homeo medicine. If I take medicine it creates problem but if I do not its ok. So am I a pre diabetic? if yes then how can I stop it here and lead a normal life. Please suggest me. If I take medicine in a very small dose it produce shakiness 2 or 3 days and also create hypo when I feel hunger. Please help me
While I am not sure about the efficacy of Homeo medicines, Metformin is the only workhorse , scientifically well researched for the last 50 years , well proven , not known to cause any serious side effects and if at all there is some, it is well known to our medical experts for which you may have to take Vitamin B12, Coq10, etc.
Apart from diabetics , it is widely prescribed for women with PCOS
(75% women suffer from PCOS nowadays) , many non-diabetics also take this for weight reduction.
The genuineness of this medicine is such that most of the newer medicines use metformin as the base for combo drugs.
To prevent further complications you may please minimise- carbo's gradually and prepare your journey towards a LCHF.
We need to understand that diabetes is not a disease, it is just we are not able to metabolize Carbo. But fortunately for us there are two most important macronutrient s such as Fat and protein which could come to our rescue.
There are good chances that you can arrest it/ even reverse if you bring in a drastic change in your life style and diet.
You should remain active , either go to a treadmill for 30- 45 mnts daily or do brisk walk for 45 mnts twice daily. Remain active . Try to avoid continuous sitting for long hours. Keep walking whenever there is an opportunity. Walking staircase for 1-2 floors in stead of a lift.
Minimise carbo's and take healthy fats and protein.
If required you please consult a nutrition specialist in your area and get guided accordingly to avoid Glucose spikes post meal.
Also you please read a lot of posts posted in this community.
You need to first get educated about the disease. More you are educated about disease , you would be able to better handle your case
Thanks a lot for your reply. I am Veterinary Doctor and working as a Lecturer of Medicine in a Veterinary Institute. I always use staircase to go to my office at 5th floor and do it at least 4 to 5 times again my bed room is at 3rd floor so I also use staircase. But walking is less. I need a complete guide. Sometimes I feel hotness at feet. I want to be normal or lead a normal life. I am still unmarried and I am loosing hope. please help me.
Since you are a doctor, I am sure you should be able to control even reverse it.

What do you mean by RBS? Is it random blood sugar? Or do you mean fasting blood sugar? Random means anytime wether it is 15 minutes or 2.30 hours after meal
IMHO metformin 500 mg could not cause hypo, as it only makes you more sensitive to insulin, and does not force your pancreas to produce more insulin, what is your number when you feel hypo? Is it in fasting condition or after meal?
