I am (49 year Male). I'm new here & I am a type 2 diabetic who was digonosed 18 months before. I'm taking teniva/teneligliptin 20 mg as my Dr. has adviced. Since beginning now nothing improved my health. Instead, my surgar level has gone up more than it use to be. Before the Dr's. change, my numbers were 135/40, but after Dr's advice it is 235/40. I'm still taking same medicine & now I have no other alternate except changing Dr. or switch over to Ayurvedic/Homopathic treatment. I need your advice. What do you suggest as I don't want to take Allopathic medicine.

Teniva Tablet contains Teneligliptin as an active ingredient. Composition for Teniva-M Tablet Extended Release is Metformin (500mg), Teneligliptin (20mg).
Metformin is used alone or with other medications, including insulin, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Metformin is in a class of drugs called biguanides. Metformin helps to control the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood. It decreases the amount of glucose you absorb from your food and the amount of glucose made by your liver. Metformin also increases your body's response to insulin, a natural substance that controls the amount of glucose in the blood.
Inhibitors of dipeptidyl peptidase 4, also DPP-4 inhibitors or gliptins, are a class of oral hypoglycemics that block DPP-4 (DPP-IV). They can be used to treat diabetes mellitus type 2.
Teneligliptin is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes. It is used in addition to diet and exercise to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes.
You should give more importance to diabetic diet and aerobic exercise.
Check your blood sugar (FBS or PPBS) daily. Undergo HbA1c test once in every 3 months.
