Postprandial blood sugar should be less than 140 mg/dL. If blood sugar exceeds 180 mg/dL, sugar will be excreted along with urine.
Reduce carbohydrate and increase vegetables in the diet.
Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors are oral anti-diabetic drugs used for diabetes mellitus type 2 that work by preventing the digestion of carbohydrates (such as starch and table sugar). Carbohydrates are normally converted into simple sugars (monosaccharides), which can be absorbed through the intestine. Hence, alpha-glucosidase inhibitors reduce the impact of carbohydrates on blood sugar.
Examples of alpha-glucosidase inhibitors include:
Acarbose is used (with diet only or diet and other medications) to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood) . Acarbose works by slowing the action of certain chemicals that break down food to release glucose (sugar) into your blood. Slowing food digestion helps keep blood glucose from rising very high after meals.
Miglitol is used, alone or with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood), particularly in people whose diabetes cannot be controlled by diet alone. It slows the breakdown and absorption of table sugar and other complex sugars in the small intestine. This process results in decreased blood sugar (hypoglycemia) levels following meals.
Voglibose is an alpha-glucosidase inhibitor used for lowering post-prandial blood glucose levels in people with diabetes mellitus. Voglibose delays the absorption of glucose thereby reducing the risk of macrovascular complications.
Consult your doctor.

Depends on what you have for breakfast.Cut down on food items with higher glycemic index and reduce the glycemic load. For instance if you have bread toast, reduce number of slices and add an egg or mixxxed boiled and seasoned sprouts. You have to moderate the glycemic load and prefer lower glycemic foods.Since your A1c is pretty good,increasing/modifying medicine dose is not warranted,in my opinion.
Your hba1c is in normal level … You're nonDiabetic.... All bodies have different systems... You're perfect .... Keep your a1c under 6....
