Can I use artificial sweetners once in fortnight?

Please guide :

(1) using/eating artificial sweetners once in fortnight is ok or not ? I want to make tea and some diwali sweets with artificial sweetners .

(2 ) which is better in India ? " sugar free " is ok ?

Avoid cooking dishes using artificial Sweeteners.Except Stevia,all others like aspertame and sucralose are artificial,so avoid them.I use stevia pills sparingly.Take a decision after knowing more on the subject.
