In my case , Accucheck also shows 10 - 15 points less as compared to lab test. In last week I went for BSL report . I carry Accucheck meter with me . After giving blood sample for FBS , I immediately check FBS on Accucheck . It was 99. In lab report , it was 111 . Again I took Accucheck with me to lab for PPBS . After giving sample , I immediately check PPBS on Accucheck which showed 122 . The report I got in the evening , it was 127 .

How the sample was collected at lab?

Generally , lab technicians collect samples from veins with syringe .

The meter shows 10 points less. But is this the correct one or the others using blood being drawn by the meter. The others more or less agree with variations of 10 points or more.

In a close control it is important to know which one is correct.I had on one occasion lab agreeing with accuchek active. But accuchek nano is 10 points higher being the sucking type.

To me it's sometimes 10 times higher and lower. It's hardly in the same level because I used to check it with three times depending on what I see the result

Expect some variation

But meters are useful for home monitoring

Some variation to thr tune of 10% expected

Not necessarily. But these machines have error level normally upto 10%. These may a gicve small error. It is the trend which is to be studied per se. Exact or vary accurate results may not be available in Lab test also.
