Hi there being a D2 for 5 years and at wits end trying to control it. Becoming depressed and losing all control over it. Nothing works.

Please don't be depressed. Diabetes is not a disease which can't be controlled with proper management. Go for a well balanced diet and regular excercise. Live a desciplined life avoiding junk and packaged food and juices. Good luck to you .

Getting depressed only aggravates diabetes,It is also not correct to say that nothing works.Agreed that managing diabetes is a tough full time job,but it is possible.Basic requirement is equipping yourself with adequate knowledge of diabetes,it's implications and what exactly needs to be done to manage it.Such knowledge is broadly of four categories 1.Diet control 2.Adequate exercise 3.Leading a disciplined and stress free life style and 4.Diabetic complications that may arise if sugar levels are not managed properly. There is another important element i.e medication, but that aspect is best left to the physician treating you.One very good thing you have done is visiting this web site. All the knowledge that you need at practical level is available through various posts on this site.Just search for anything you want,yo can get the answers. These answers are very valid because, they are predominantly based on personal experiences of so many diabetics who have successfully managed their condition for decades. So,start generating questions and search for the answers.Lastly,on this web site, you are encouraged to seek clarifications on any issue that you might be facing in yor fight with diabetes.

Your HbA1c is not that bad which can be reduced with some changes of your diet and regular exercises. You need to be more discipline of what to put into your system as well as eliminating those high CARBS foods and drinks that spike BSL.

Me too was feeling so lonely as a diabetic in my family. They only say taking some medications to conyrol my BSL and also blood cholesterol. But I've decided to fight and control my health issues naturally by reading more information and joining this forum to discuss my issues and listen to other diabetics of how they control their BSL.

My HbA1C was 5.7% last month and also last April, came down from 6.3% in October last year. BTW, I have been on lchf diet since 9 months. Good luck!

Jelehtaran, do not lose hope. Understand that a pharmaceutical approach to ANYTHING is essentially suppression of symptoms. There is no attempt to go to the root cause and find out WHY something is happening, and then treat that. But now it is possible. And it's no secret. Many many people have become healthy again, and certainly you can, too.

Nothing much can be achieved by getting depressed. I suggest that you combine your allopathic medicines with Ayurveda. That would help you to control diabetes better. A good Ayurveda doctor would try and find the root cause of imbalance and accordingly would prescribe you the medicines.

Hi Jelehtaran,

1. Which place are you from? the diet etc. suggestions depends on that.

2. Why did you say no family support? Understand this clearly, your life is yours. Unless you are helpless and in need of inevitable support from others (my be family or others) never bother if others (family) supports you or not. You should move on with your target to get good health. First inculcate this thought in you then you can avoid any sort of stress. The all medication and diet doesn't help much except physical level, but if you have stressed through this sort of thinking that family is not supporting, it will not work fully. So NO STRESS at all. This is a fantastic forum that supports you so, if your people not supporting, thousands of peoples are supporting through this forum, and by chance if you could find any one from this forum is also from your locality, better meet them personally and you feel best..

once you post many details step by step, you can get rid of this metabolism related issue. Diabetes is not a disease.

All the best.
