Garlic is no doubt a healthy item of food, but there is a limit as to how much you can consume. In my view, you can consume it liberally, but cannot solely depend on it to take care of diabetes or excess cholesterol.

I think garlic is good for you, but has no effect on blood sugar. Might keep colds at bay?

I think garlic is good but you have to take medicines to take care of your blood sugar and cholesterol levels.

A 2017 study (ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl... has suggested that additional garlic contributes to improved blood glucose control. It also plays positive roles in total cholesterol and high/low density lipoprotein regulation.

However, that alone will not help to control your blood sugar level and cholesterol. A low carb high fat diet has proven to be beneficial in both. It is a simple, effective and low-cost strategy to help in diabetes reversal. It also lowers triglycerides and LDL cholesterol. Read more - diabetely.com/diabetely-die...

To my experience garlic is good. I had a first hang experience. 23 years ago. I got the paralytic attack with coma due to a 3 cms tumour in the middle of my brain. My father administrated me few pieces of garlic 5 hours before the doctor arrived. That did the trick. My life was spared.
