Every diabetic has one problem: he feels deprived of eating. So, is there anything that he can eat anytime without restriction?

Nuts like almonds and walnuts are good. You can have mixed sprouts like channa, moong, horse gram etc.Vegetable soups with greens, tomato, onions etc that are low in carbohydrates properly seasoned are tasty.Watch youtube video of Manisha's kitchen to see how to prepare multi grain dalia with plenty of added vegetables and sprouts. In the end you have to workout what you eat by yourself

If you are on LCHF diet you tend to get less hungry because of high fat consumption ( like butter, ghee, VCO, cheese, full fat cream ,full fat curd and animal fat if you are a non vegetarian) blood sugar levels too remain in control ,in addition ,if you restrict your carbohydrates to about 100 gms /day you can snack on nuts like almonds, walnuts. pine nuts ,coconut flakes, roasted peanuts , melon, pumpkin or sun flower seeds .You can also have restricted amount of fruits such as guava, apple (half) ,strawberries, orange papaya etc. for drinks you can have green tea , bullet proof coffee, normal tea or coffee without sugar and soups made of tomato ,spinach or mushrooms or chicken with a scoop of butter or cream , is also an option .Having an omelette fried in ghee or butter is also a wonderful idea to drive away hunger pangs as eggs have negligible amount of carbs... so enjoy :)

Hi! I'm a diabetic for 23 years and don't agree that a diabetic is deprived of eating. - a balanced meal of protein, reduced carbs, adequate Fiber will make you feel satiated longer. For example - if you ate 2 slices of white bread vs 1 slice of whole wheat/high fibre bread or oats with an egg. The egg and bread/oats will make you feel full longer. Similarly at lunch if you ate- white rice and potatoes vs. brown rice and vegetables/chicken, along with a helping of salad it will make u feel full longer.

Hope this helps. Chances are your food intake has a fairly high quantum of processed foods in it.
