40 to 50 increase in blood sugar

Hi all, my husband has diabetes since Jan'17 his reports read 158 fbs and 182 ppbs in june'17 today his reports are at 214 fbs and 225 ppbs . Is it fine to have an increase of around 40 to 50 due to stress and would it be managed to control later on. Very tensed with the reports increase. He is on Ayurvedic medications.

My husband's sugar has reduced considerably in just a week and now it reads fbs 133 and ppbs 216. Does this affect the kidney?

The sugar levels now has normalized with no allopathy medicine... He uses patanjali medicines with diet and regular walking... Stress has played a major role in his sugar level.

Hi, my husband is on millets diet and considerably worked in reducing the sugar levels... He also takes patanjali medicines along with walking n pranayama.

A new addition to this is hibiscus leaf juice taken for 8 days which has brought his sugar level to normal range

Fasting blood sugar should not exceed 100 mg/dL. Postprandial blood sugar should not exceed 140 mg/dL.

Undergo HbA1c test. Target: 6.5% or lower.

When PPBS exceeds 180 mg/dL, glucose will be excreted alnog with urine. Over the time it can cause damage to the kidney.

Control high blood sugar by diet, exercise and anti-diabetic medications.

Check the blood sugar daily (FBS or PPBS)

Consume less food more times in a day.

Don't consume food after 8:00 pm
