my fasting blood sugar reading is 149 and my age is 37.weight is 115kgs.please suggest

You are carrying too much weight.You know overweight is one of the triggers for diabetes.Plan carefully to reduce your weight to the extent possible without feeling energy loss or other problems.

Eating too much or not being physically active enough will make you overweight. To maintain your weight, the calories you eat must equal the energy you burn. To lose weight, you must use more calories than you eat. A weight-control strategy might include

:--

* Choosing low-fat, low-calorie foods

* Eating smaller portions

* Drinking water instead of sugary drinks

* Being physically active

Eating extra calories within a well-balanced diet can help to add weight.

Sir your advice is very good one except one suggestion, eating small portion every few hourly precipates insulin resistance, so switch over to 8-16 mode of eating which gives much faster weight control. Thanks

LCHF hypocaloric diet along with intermittent fasting is the way. Exercise is great booster to mitochondrial health, do it regularly. Medicines don't cure us in any way.

I ask the person to go into the fat burning mode by adopting to 8-16 mode of eating. Food to be taken in 2-3 portion within 8-9 hours. Diet should be high in good quality fats, good quality proteins, complex carbs (plenty of salads), few fruits. Hypo-caloric diet with intermittent fasts puts body into the better metabolic control. This along with exercise start solving the problem of insulin resistance, mitochondrial dysfunction & weight gain. There is not single thing in the world which does this to our body. So taking medicines have proven again & again to be big failures. They show apparent success by converting glucose to fats (sulfonyl urea) or converting glucose into far dangerous lactic acid (bi-guanides like metformin). Please change your lifestyle, everything else will be vicious dooming down.

I prefer to second Dr pravin .switch to Lchf diet along with intermitant fasting .Now if you switch to this regim with slight excercise in the form of morning walk for 3 km.Then your extraweight is surely going to be reduced and insuline resistance as well.Thanks.
