Diabetic emergencies, SYMPTOMS.

It is impotant to recognize certain warning signs so that corrective steps are taken as early as possible.

WARNING SIGNS : Any sudden unexplained symptom warrants a call to Doctor. People should carefully watch for symptoms which include --

Significant increase or decrease in urination.

Excessive thirst.

Sudden weight loss.

Being nauseous.

Fever accompanied by pain and swelling.

Very high or very low blood sugar level.

The following symptoms indicate a diabetic emergency --

Loss of consciousness

Signs of stroke ( drooping face,change in consciousness , slurred speech )

Swelling and pain in extremities .

Blue or numb hand or feet

Seizures.

Confusion.

Intense stomach pain

Intense muscle weakness .

Unexplained or sudden exhaustion

Sign of heart attack.

Please never ignore these symptoms and rush to the nearest hospital. That may be life saving.
