Can personal experiences be equated with scientific experiment ?

Different persons have different experience. People believe in their own experience. No harm . But is it right to negate other persons experience ?

We have to respect others' experiences. At the same time, one's experience need not be considered as universally applicable truth

@pataliputhra, ----------- definitely not . Many people are claiming different results and experiences basing on their own experiments , they can't be branded as opinionated .In the nameof science can't be snubbed .

N-1000 is valid only if parameter is same. Otherwise data becomes suspect.

There is no rule by me. In any scientific study first parameters are set and the data is collected. I agree observational data is also valid.

Personal experiences shared on the forum are not sponsored by any pharmacy industry.

Hidden et al.

You are all intelligent people. Medicine is a logic supported by scientific data. Our logic says that since we can't metabolise carbs efficiently we must not take them. Also carbs are nothing but a source of body fuel. God has given another body fuel - ketones which is not harmful to us. So carbs are not inevitable as food. Even body can produce required carbs. If you have doubt about this logic you may follow what your wisdom suggests. Loss or gain are yours. We on lchf are happy with the results. We followed science. You may or may not.

We are talking about personal experiences of forum members.

So, you say personal experience can not be equated with scientific experiment .

@pataliputra

the data controversy can be resolved by getting it authenticated from recognised medical organisation like WHO who verify all research data and certify its validity

Poverty, crime are all on increas dispite law enforcing agencies and govt.s. So who cares.

The entire modern medical science failed in finding a medicine for diabetes and throwing out suggestions and illogical remedial measures day in and day out . Still all that is termed as science .

Opinion and experience are all together different. Comes the question of ethics. If some ones experience is different from yours should he be criticised and discouraged ? It is not the question of who is right or who is wrong.

I feel a separate forum for alternative medicine and AYURVEDA could have given better space for the expressions of many believers in that stream of science . Going for certain food fads is totally opposite to the philosophy of Ayurveda . Here , if I use the word philosophy , I would be torn in to pieces bringing all the names of philosophers ,thinking that I am talking about the philosophy of ancient as well as modern philosophers.

NO personal references please . Sticking to the point is appreciated .

.Suramo ,

when it suits the purpose ,science has relavance and reference . When it does not suit ,all the scientific bodies and findings are thrown in to BAYof Bengal . what sort of scientific attitude is this .What exactly is the definition of science and what is the importance of data .

It appears that hidden is banned. Can any body explain the reasons . Was it due to her holding different view than the the whole administration . By the way admin is controlled by persons holding similar and very biased views. So no surprise people holding independent opinion get banned.
