I am purchasing this wheat on regular basis @Rs 60/- per KG in Pune local market....

This is costly....compare to normal wheat which is about 24/26 Rs per KG(bansi wheat)

Alternatively....there is one more variety....Baxi wheat...this is also available in Pune local market...looking for more information on this wheat variety...

Baxi wheat (Triticum durum)

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durum

this wheat may prove good option for Emmer wheat (long wheat/khapali wheat) as this is also natural wheat...

Though I really do not have any experience about same...However information on wiki shows this wheat got more gluten than other normal wheat...so ppl with gluten problem should stay away...

However I think gluten problem is rare in India...

I bought it at 47/ rs here. Price upto 48 this year. This is the right time to purchase. This year its appearance in the market has been delayed due to persistence of moisture.
