i am facing diabities problem since 2010, sugar lavel fasting 150 and after meal 250

i am having diabties since 2010, present sugar lavel after meal 250 , taking Tablet Gelemstar M1 , twice , Today i laern about you , how can i control it? Please send guidelines.

Diabetes can be controlled/managed by a proper regulated diet and exercise. and medicines prescribed by the doctor

1. Eat every Four hours mini meals. Don't eat big meals. Take more green vegetables/salads.

2. Eat whole grain food/grains like ragi, wheat, jowar instead of refined grains like maida/ sooji/ white bread etc

3. Reduce foods with high GI Index like potato, white rice, banana, mango.

4. Avoid all forms of simple sugars like Colas, juices, sweets, cakes, biscuits, pizzas, noodles etc.

5. Eat daily fruits with low/medium GI index like apple, guava, mosambi, orange.

6. Eat lot of proteins like dals, sprouts, egg, chicken etc with every minimeal.

7. Drink lot of water. One glass every hour.

8. Do at least 30-45 mins of exercise every day.

I beg to differ on few points

1) frequent eating is not a good idea. Keeps your exhausted pancreas on the toes all the time.

2) avoid grains as far as possible. Ragi, quinoea, and few others posted by ashka 9 are good.

3)Mangoes have gi of 51. Can take with calculation. No sugar to be added to the mango juice.

4) &5) Agreed.

6) nonveg food fine. Sprouts are good but all the legumes except soya contain around 60-65% carbs.

7) &8) Agreed.

Stevia is the only sweetner recommended.

Intermittent fasting is good.

1) 90% of your D will be controlled by diet. Surf the net for IDM. Find out the food that suits you. Buy a glucometer and check your bs after a diet.

2) exercise is next. Do as much as you can.

3) drugs comes the last.

There are many here who have become drug free with diet management only.
