OK, you want to lose weight and are looking around for diet that will do the job but will not harm your health as a lot of fad diets might be perceived to do.
You won't be even remotely considering any of the high fat diets such as Atkins, South Beach, Paleo or Dukan as the saturated fats will clog your arteries and you will drop dead of a heart attack.
You settle for a low calorie healthy whole grain diet and with a will of iron along with gnawing hunger pangs it works. Six months later you have lost 40lb. Congratulations, and you spread the word that low calorie is the way to go and you didn't have to do any of that high fat nonsense.
Well I've got news for you, and this applies to ANY diet that reduces weight. I repeat - ANY,
ALL of them are HIGH Fat diets.
Say what? Are you insane - I went low calorie - I told you?
No you didn't - what do you think you were burning as the weight fell off? Oh yes - the saturated fat that has been making your life a misery. Funny that - nature putting in place a system that allows for periods of food scarcity that tides you over till the next kill.
