I discovered today, eating any fried item or sweets made from legumes flour i.e. daal flour (like besan, math) keep PPBS levels under control...like <140 after 1 hr and <120 after 2 hr. So just eat sweets and enjoy....
Really Ashka9 the mixed messages you send out are not the least bit helpful. You swing between recommending high fat one day, then when the wind changes, high sugar.
Enjoy sweets as a diabetic and just take your pills - come on!
Relax, I am just telling everybody to enjoy sweets in Diwali...we can enjoy it once in a while....nothing wrong I ate 2 pieces today of sweets and measured my PPBS after 1 hr...it was 138 and after 2 hours of eating fried items made of besan and math, it was 114! Sugar doesn't have high GI load...it won't affect yr BS levels as do grains even....I take sugar everyday in coffee because I don't believe in taking sugar free ...
Thanks, Anup for yr wishes..yes, my new year resolution would be to eat as little amount of grains as possible...by going LC route....will try to heal pancreas and liver too!
ok Boss! I will do as you direct! Not eating 6-10 times a day...just 3-4 times...a day!
But yes, when I plan to start IF, I will skip dinner...that's more convenient to me....so how many hours gap should be there between breakfast and lunch and how frequently I have to do that?
Happy Diwali to all. When ever I feel taking sweets , I take laddu prepared from Til. It does not spike bs, as other sweet dishes spike. Besan laddu is also good. I have tested many times. This is my own observation and suits me well.
