Beer is often described as 'liquid bread' as it is full of carbohydrate. Red wine, (not white) if pretty good, as are all spirits (so long as not mixed with cordials).

Mike sums it up well. If you still can't get your hand off one, see where you can find San Miquel Light, a pint is a 100 calories. Only available as an import in India Or try Amstel light which is about 150 calories. I will also advise you to stay away from most of the Indian beers, which unfortunately have started to add significant quantities of sugar to add to the smooth taste. Please do not think that these are 'Light' beers they give you crazy sugar spikes. I do wish Indian beer manufactures would specify the quantum of sugars (gms) that's been added and how many calories is each bottle.
