HELP: HI , PUJA MY AGE IS 24 YRS FEW WEEKS... - Diabetes India
HELP
Exercise & diat is only solution.
Follow LCHF diat
My hb and I have just started the LCHF diet. Weight and bg dropping within days. Will continue as lifestyle change. Not sure if I can name the book we re using. Is it ok to advertise on this forum? We are so enthusiastic and almost evangelical!! JanR
Pl name the book.
It is The Eight Week Blood Sugar Diet, by Michael Moseley. We're trying to follow the suggestions as closely as we can, but some of the recipes are not easy! However, we just adapt and switch things around. At the end of the 8 weeks we intend to carry on with the 5.2 way of dieting. Another of Mr Moseley's good ideas - 2 days a week on 600 calories, the rest eating as normal. He has made tv programmes about his diets, and exercise regime, and they are well researched and the science backs up his claims. So do many very happy people. My blood glucose has fallen to 5.5 approx, and my weight is on the way down. We only started last week. I'm sure many people on this forum know about him. JanR

FBS 144 & PPBS 224 really calls for a serious look at it. Exercise, diet control & medicines do not improve Diabetes but only regulates blood sugar level temporarily till those are continued. But the more unpleasent thing is that in spite of all those efforts Diabetes keeps progressing (worsening). That may be the reason for the unexpected high numbers.
The case of Long Wheat Mash Diet Regimen (LWMDR) is not so. It gives SUSTAINABLE IMPROVEMENT. Please see what those members who follow LWMDR say.
Dear indiacratus,
Most of those who follow LWMDR are research minded. They wish for their own invention/discovery. Hence most of them follow "their own modified lwmdr".
Some others discontinue or dilute LWMDR the moment they find that eating fruits/sweets do not shoot their blood sugar up as before.
Hardly anybody reports progress.
So the net result is that nobody reach the stage of performing OGTT.
Situation is similar to the effect of "half life period of decay of neuclear elements".
I am not in competetion with anybody. Talking about diabetes cure is not even my hobby, leave alone earning livelyhood. I have not invested anything in this except God's Grace.
So jab thak bhagvaan ki kripa ho, chalo chalo chalthe raho
I am constrained to hope that more people read "History of Science" type of books.
I do not feel bad or disheartened when people criticise/ridicule/reject my experience becauseAlbert Einstein has said "if at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it".
