Consult a good text book of Physiology or in the Internet look for liver functions etc.

Yup it happens both for diabetics as well non diabetics. It is basically body's natural defence to get ready for early morning. So between 4 to 6 AM early morning liver dumps glucose into blood so that the person is ready for morning. In a normal non diabetic person, insulin is released from pancreas as a response and so it starts converting that dumped sugar into energy. These are typical morning wakers who get up early blessed by their genetic program. While in diabetics this dump is not converted to energy as insulin released is not acting or less acting. Type 2 people have developed insulin resistence while type 1 have no insulin. This high sugars makes them sloppy and tired and so high fbs in the morning. This is called Dawn phenomen..
Thank you so much for the nice explanation.
Thanks sir. I am 48 years old female diabetic. I am swimmer and energy levels high vth no classic diabetic symptoms. My mom was at 32 diabetic and i managed to pull it till 47 vth active lifestyle. But severe right leg pain ( neuropathy specific to hip ) and no sleep vth fbs in the range of 120 to 130. My doctor started meds since 6 mnths. I am on 500mg metaformin twice a day nd fighting back diabetes like all my fellow frnds on the forum. Just started cutting down regular oils nd switching to ghee nd vitgin oils in moderate. Vl start fish oil supplement as i am vegetarian nd no eggs also. Will be trying long wheat therapy once these are set. Will update on each progress after few months.
Please go ahead, new @no2diabetes.
I agree with Dawn Phenomenon (Liver Dump) most of the Endocrinologist doctor's don't know this. I have spoken to them personally.
I used to have FBS 125 to 129 every day. I started to take a snack one hour before bed time, one or two brown bread slices with a cheese slice, I test after 8-10 hours of fasting now the FBS between 105 to 112.

Right jaffy. Adding further to dawn syndrome, the evening or night time medication is basically to handle dawn syn. However many times, full blown diabetics go into low sugar by midnight as medication is effecting. At this critical low level, body's great defence will release sudden glucose into blood so that one doesnt go into coma. As glucose is not converted to energy, it will start leaching protien from our muscle and metabolize the same. Hence diabetics loose muscle nd look pale. To avoid this expert physcians (all on web) say to take small bedtime protien snack. Like small piece of cheese or a spoon of peanut butter vth slice of apple. This protien vl save our muscle at night. As i take dinner by 9 00 nd force to sleep by 11 i dont take. But if one is having dinner at 8 nd sleeping by 11 it is must to hv snack to avoid low sugars at midnight. Happy snacking 😊😊

Dear RangaSir,
Glad to hear the good news about your HbA1c, FBS & being active. FBS & PPBS give different aspects of the illness. Please check PPBS at least alternate times.
Are you taking LW? If not, please try swapping your starch intake with LW (in any form - mash, roti or what ever) at least once (BF, Lun or Supper) daily for a month & see whether it will make any difference. Did you see the latest addition at appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel...
Dear Mr.SG, Thank you for your reply and I will do as suggested.Due to my occupation I am not fully concentrate on all these issues. PPBS is 160 this is not good though my FBS is 99.

Can u please inform if not meals taken more then FBS is raising or only protein content may taken BS also raising ?
How to avoid early morning FBS what the diet is followedat night ?
Please share your diet plan and how you control blood sugar level without medicine thanks in advance for early replay
There can not be a single solution specifically for high morning BS. It has to be individually addressed.
I control my diabetes by limiting my carb intake. I don't eat items like chapati or rice. Mostly vegetables, sprouts, paneer, cheese, lot of peanuts, almonds, seasame seeds, VCO, VOO, dry and wet coconut etc.
That's really good @shrisamarth. But me being indian cant have 0 grain food. If i do i vl go crazy as i dont feel satated nd start gorging more. Being south indian i need to have rice everyday atleast once. So i switced to brown rice nd if i am in north india i take basamati. However quantity i eat is moderate. I take a cup of rice vth boiled veges vth spoon of olive oil nd little salt. I also hv salad vth fresh veggies spoon of apple cider vinegar (ACV), EVOO or VCO vth pink salt nd pepper. Rice dal ndcend vth curds. If rotis then 2 to 3 rotis (small) vth sabzi nd tblspoon rice nd curds. Rice nd curds is must to keep my south indian cravings at bay....

1 liver dump causes early morning from 4-6-30 Am it is common for diabetic or non diabetic persons.
2 For diabetic if FBS is more then also liver dumps ?
3 If heavy oral drugs or insulin may taken then Blood sugar reduces But some of the persons opinion is if heavy insulin produces itcauses blood insulinThen also FBS spikes together withliver dump FBS may spikes more than 180-200 and above
4 most of the persons opinion liver dumpcauses only at 4 -6-30 Am only and it effects only FBS

5 In my opinion it causes PPBS in normal value if heavy work load or not to possible to consume food in longer intervals then blood sugar reduces vigorusly then the body will heavy strains then livr dumps some portions of glycogen to convert the glucose for resuce of the body this time the body give some signals for dangerous happen
So experts may share suitable information about this
and give useful tips to avoid early morning FBS spikes more and to avoid ec liver dumps
Thanks in advance to members
