I am on this diet for nearly 3 months now, my FBS and PPBS is much better than it was before. But, still, some more time is needed. I am working on sticking to this diet, because, I see improvements in the suger level and intent to see results. I was out of stock of long wheat for the last 2 weeks, since it was in short supply in my area, now found a wholesale shop. Back to this diet once more. Happy now.

Good to hear. I am also on LWMR for about 2 weeks. Already there is improvement. Can I take Long wheat roti. Has anybody tried it?

YES I HAD GONE THROUGH LONG WHEAT ROTI DUE TO MY SHIFT DUTIES. IN MY AFTERNOON SHIFT ( 3 PM TO 11 PM) I PREFERRED LONG WHEAT ROTI IN DINNER. I FELT IT WORKS BECAUSE BS LEVEL NEVER BOOST UP AFTER TAKING IT. BUT OTHER THAN AFTERNOON SHIFT I STRICTLY ATE LWMDR IN BF AND DINNER.

THANKS

Pl read Shooter George's post about long wheat. LW, when being pulverized to flour loses its stability, and becomes like any other ordinary flour. I checked it, and FBS was high, same as after eating roti made out of ordinary wheat.

So, I soak the LW overnight and cook it the next day in pressure cooker, mash it in a mixie and have some veg curry, cooked moong dal with coconut, curd with pickle/ dry roasted papad for breakfast and dinner. Now my FBS is 103.

If one eats same amount of net carbs (that of LW) by consuming sprouted and cooked legumes or beans, that person's BS will not spike.

Maybe as you pointed out barley, regular wheat etc in mash form may give the same BS reading as LW. I have not tried them. But, LW i comsume is not totally mashed, it is semi-solid, only broken, hence chewable. Sometimes, I cook LW for longer time, and when cooked throughly, it can be eaten as such like regular food(rice) and sometimes, adding coconut milk to cooked LW, makes the food very tastly. Moreover, being south indian, avoiding carb is not suitable to my type of diet. Having cholesterol too, doesnot permit me to have High Fat (LCHF), hence, I incorporate both LW and LCLF diet, and try to manage both diabetes and cholesterol. thanks to all in the forum for advice and support. Eating right food of ones choice wisely, with happiness and satisfaction is the ultimate goal to control one's disease. What maybe good for one, maynot be the same for the other.

Let me know if someone cannot find Long wheat.

I am aware of good and bad fat. Hence, I use fresh coconut scrappings/oil in my food. VCO, I make at home and use VCO with black coffee. i am not avoiding fat completely, I use butter and home made ghee too, but all of them in moderation. Moong dal soaked overnight and cooked with little salt and then with a sprinkle of coconut scrappings is consumed as snack. Another snack is thenga-manga-pattani sundal.(coconut and mango pieces mixed with chickpea and green chillies is yummy.

I am in this forum since April-May. I am trying differnt options to suit my lifestyle and diet. Hope, it all works out well.

Great discussion guys

Guys it's my experience

LW definitely work...can't compare with another breed of wheat. I had purchased a lot of LW from other shop which seems totally look like LW but after used it I felt my B'S tends to rice and with in a month it goes up to 84 to 116 in fasting but PBS always be in near by 110. I arranged new lot of LW from by old shop and with in seven days I FB'S reduce to 93. And after 10 days to today my FB'S is always in between 84 to 90. Only. So don't be misguided guys who used LW or want to be use.

Thank

Amit

I had started with this diet but quit after few days, then recently reduced my crab intake like reducing the chapati from 5 in breakfast to 2 and replacing with cup of milk, boiled egg, again dinner only kichdi make of dalia/broken wheat which is again low crab diet, now after 2 months doctor have stoped the galvus met taken in night which was consumed since 3 years. This is first victory in reducing tablets expensive tablets. Thanks to all members in suggesting low crab high fat diet

Again I m asking. ..not think more about cure. I am able to eat as per my wish...don't think more about what to eat...don't think about calories count etc. Because in daily routine I simply replace my chapati or rice with long wheat. ..rest thing's are same. Sometimes eat sweets ice cream. ...enjoy all family functions. .attend cocktail parties too....but excluding these days I strictly follow LGMDR and my bs levels are always in range. It came down from Fb 125 to in btwn range of 84 to 88 which is constant from last one month thank to god. I ate long wheat chapatis too sometimes.

PB LEVEL ARE ALWAYS NEAR BY 110 TO 115....SOMETIMES BELOW 100. SO MY DEAR FRENS LCHF FOOD IS A GOOD OPTION BUT LONG WHEAT IS ALSO BE A OPTION ALONG WITH A HOPE OF CURE.

THANKS TO GOD AND OFFCOURSE SIR SHOOTER GEORGE.

THANKS

Dear humza

Sorry for late reply. Actually due to some other routine work I am not able to reply all the days.

Any ways no need to worry take LWMDR two times strictly in BF and Dinner along with all vegetables. (avoid root vegetables/fruits/sweets). If you are on medicines it will take time to BS down and gradually you will become medfree. So my dear think positive and follow the rules as instructed by Sir Goerge Shooter.

Good Luck
