No, JAU ( barley) is different from Long Wheat. Lw is brownish in colour and little longer in grain size than Emmer Wheat as displayed by your goodself in a photograph .

Even though Barley (JAU, in Punjab) is not long Wheat, Barley Dalia, as sold by Patanjali is better than Emmer Wheat.

The photograph shows it is Long Wheat but certainly it is not Emmer wheat. Emmer wheat is small in length and white-yellow in colour. Emmer wheat is popularly grown in Punjab but not Long Wheat. Any body living close to Ludhiana can see me or talk at 09592917135.

Dear Readers,

Don't be misled by fraudulents and pay heavily for Emmer( ordinary wheat ). Ordinary wheat is sold @ Rs. 20/= per Kg. in Punjab.

I don't agree, Sir. Kindly visit to Ludhiana and be my family guest. I can take you to the fields and show the emmer wheat grown widely in Punjab. The emmer wheat has spikes like the cockroach and when thrashed, the grain is not long but somewhat bulging at the centre.

Dear Mr. George,

I saw name of LW in Punjabi as "KANAK". We all eat mostly Wheat (Kanak) Flour Chapati in Northern India but I also read some where to avoid Wheat Flour while on LCHF diet due to high contents of Carbs. Please correct me. Thanks.
