Dear Swaati, Daily in the morning "Empty Stomach" take little butter Milk and 2 gms of Haldi Powder and drink and it will reduce Bad Cholestrol over a period of time and also if possible, AMLA powder mix little Haldi powder in Milk and see the result.

if the Sugar is high, "IMPORTANT - ONCE IN 15 DAYS ONLY" - Turnip Juice with fresh Avarampoo over it and the Sugar level will reduce by 100-120 level the next day. This is only once in 15 days or else the sugar level will completely go down. take care. This was told by Paarambariya maruthuvam - Doctor in Zee Tamil. Take care and god bless you.

That works out to about 136 on average. You need not worry too much about it.But you should make efforts to bring it down closer to 6.I am pasting an article that I came across. It may guide you.

Two ways to dodge diabetes

Given the epidemic of diabetes sweeping the United States and many other countries, it can seem as though developing diabetes is inevitable. Not so. A landmark clinical trial called the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) showed that a healthy diet and regular exercise can prevent type 2 diabetes. This three year study found that people who lose 5% to 7% of their weight and exercise about 30 minutes a day can reduce diabetes risk by more than half.

The Look AHEAD study also showed that losing weight and exercising can be a powerful way to fend off diabetes. The trial compared lifestyle changes (portion-controlled diets with prepared meals and moderate-intensity exercise for at least 175 minutes a week) with simple diabetes education. After one year, people in the lifestyle group had lost an average of 8.6% of their body weight, compared with 0.7% in diabetes education group. With the combination of weight loss and exercise came improvements in blood sugar, blood pressure, and HDL (good) cholesterol. Later follow-up showed that these improvements extended over the first four years of the study.

What’s more, the lifestyle changes also improved quality of life, based on questionnaires designed to assess the Look AHEAD participants’ physical and mental health. The greatest gains were physical changes — for example, compared with the control group, people in the lifestyle group were more fit, felt more vital, and had less body pain. They also reported feeling less depressed.

Losing weight and exercising are simple ways to avoid diabetes. But they can be hard to do. If you’re ready to make some changes to avoid the life-long consequences of diabetes, talk with your doctor. Together you can create a manageable plan that increases your chances of success.

Thank you so much as i like your ans.

You know what doctor always update them self but here they dont ...so from morning to night want to know my food chart pl

in reply toswaati

There is no such thing as a diet chart particularly for diabetics.Important thing is you have to strongly ingrain certain important guidelines that help you to keep your sugar under control.Consider the following:

1.How much you eat is more important than what you eat.

2.You have to avoid sugar and sugar loaded items like sweets, coca cola, pepsi and synthetic beverages.

3.Reduce starchy foods like rice, wheat, potato, beet etc that are rich in starch(body converts starch into sugar easily and quickly) to the extent possible.

4.Understand what is glycemic index.Basically,it means sugar has an index value of 100.Other foods like rice, potato etc.have less and varying index numbers. You have to prefer items that have less index numbers. This information is available on the net, including this web site.

5.Understand what is meant by glycemic load.It means, the more sugar load you put in the system, the more will be demand for insulin which is in short supply with diabetics.

6.Whatever you eat eat in small portions. If you feel hungry in between, have a snack.

7.Maintain regular meal timings.

8.Learn how to calculate Body Mass Index. It is available on the net.

9.Last but not the least, gain detailed knowledge about diabetes,it's complications and precautions you have to take.Exhaustive information is available on this web site itself. With out adequate knowledge you will male mistakes unnecessarily.

I have given some broad suggestions. You can design a diet plan based on your tastes, preferences and convenience.

To avoid most of the complication of diabetes FBS should be <90,

PPBS <140 at any time, PPBS <120 at 2hrs. and Hba1c <5.6.

1) Get tested with HbA1c. That will tell you your apprx. average BS for last 3 months.

2) Then you go for Oral Glucose Tolerence Test. It will show how your body is handling plain glucose.

I like your answers very satisfied

in reply toswaati

Just go with an empty stomach in the morning to the lab and give blood and urine samples for FBS,PPBS and HbA1c.Then have your normal break fast.Wait for 1 1/2 hours once again give blood and urine samples. You will get the results in about two hours time and you can know yourself whether you are diabetic or not.

Really worried for test as i did test at home by glucometre ....what you think that glucometre answer is correct in figure?

in reply toswaati

Glucometer readings are not useful for making clinical decisions. You have to go to a diagnostic laboratory to get the tests done for accuracy.

One of my relative is having insuline ..i want to know that can he stop it in future for that what is your suggetion ? My english is very poor so i hope u understand

in reply toswaati

Diabetic medicines are very powerful and may cause serious damage if one is not careful. You can take suggestions from this forum regarding diet, exercises, lifestyle etc.But as far as medications are concerned, one has to go strictly by the doctor's advise.Do not change the dosage or stop insulin without the doctor's approval. In case you have doubts about the side effects of the prescribed drugs or you want to know how a drug works for you,you can pose questions here. There are several learned people here who can guide you.

Yes you are diabetic. However you can control it fully by taking my advise. I have written an exaustive essay two days back under the heading DIABETES MY NEW TEACHER. If you go through the article that I have fully controlled it for last 5 years successfully without taking a single pill for diabetes. You shall find my article in Health UNlocked.

It is better to have glucometer and do some serious testing.Esaily digestible carbohydrates (like rice and wheat(Even the long wheat)) increase blood sugar rapidly. pps 155 isn't such a big number.

Consider testing before meal and after meal.If the difference B/n premeal and postmeal (after 2 hours) is not more than 80 then diet adjustment is the way to go. Better test with glucometer throughout the day and also before and after nightmeal noting down diet consumed will give an indication how to control diet.

Ppbs 157 is actually a good number that be brought down to 130 range with diet control if you are not using any medicines till now.

Plan with glucometer following tests.

fasting (In the morning)

2 hours after breakfast.

Before lunch.

after lunch (2hours)

4 hours after lunch.

before dinner.

2 hours after dinner.

Since your fasting (Morning) blood sugar is 125 i suspect there is something you eat at dinner is causing the problem.

Dear Swati,

Stress is the main factor. Activation of Pancreas is less. Dont worry. I was told "Art of Living" works wonders and particularly sudarshar kriya, whereby all the toxins from the body can be removed say 90%, join this foundation course. Even I want to join. It is all because of stress I repeat once again.

I am once again sharing this information what i have seen:-

1.. In empty stomach Daily in the morning "Empty Stomach" take little butter Milk (without sour) and 2-2.5 gms of Haldi (manjal) Powder and drink and it will reduce Bad Cholestrol over a period of time and bad cholestrol will come down and also take Baby Onion - Raw daily where it gives you insulin.

2. You know Kovakai (Raw) whereby we cook at home, eat raw and sugar level will be down.

3. Take 2 (two) tender Lady Finger, cut head and tail, slit in to two pieces straight and keep it overnight in a glass of water, and drink in empty stomach and see the result. "This was stated by Sakthi subramaniam and Nandhini Subramaniam (Father and Daughter) both specialist in native medicine. they are in Madras and they come in Sun TV, India Time at about 08:00 A.M.

By the way you can contact Dr. Sathyavani, Naturopathy Doctor in Madras and get a relief. She can be seen in Captain TV, India time by 08:15 A.M. or in You Tube which is recorded. Pls. consult this doctor without fail. God bless you
