Why doctor always request the patient to eat at least 150g of carbohyrate daily for 3 days before performing an OGTT

Where is the question of taking diabetic drugs off, if a person is going for Oral Glucose Tolerance Test to diagnose for diabetes . If he or she is already on diabetic drugs why he or she will opt for OGGT,

So, anybody can advise me if I do not consume enough carbohydrate would lead to false positive result or false negative result?
