yes in tamkil it is called samba gothumai

It is samba godhumai. You also get broken samba wheat rava (thick) which is easier to cook like rice and has the same effect like unbroken one. I have been maintaining my Hb1Ac below 6 for the last one year by eating cooked samba wheat in lieu of rice.

In tamil I think it is called THOOSI GODHAMBU. in malayalam it is called SOOJI GODHAMBU ( sooji means needle). It is available in all leading super markets. Also it is available as broken wheat. which you can cook easily .
