Fruits and honey for Type II Diabetes

I have Type II diabetes for about 1.5 years now. It's under control with medicines. Can I take sweet fruits like melons, papaya and mango? Also, is Acacia honey ok to consume once a week? Require a doctor's advice.

I am not a doctor. Please read my experience with fruits when I was diabetic: appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel...

You take "medicines" to control your blood sugar and then you want to eat fruits and honey ??? I don't take medicines to control my blood sugar. I use will power and self control to avoid not just fruits and honey but also Belgian chocolates and Haagen Dazs icecream, which I used to eat regularly, almost daily, just 90 days back.

To each their own :-) Cheers !!

Papaya is always better and recommended by doctors, but mango should be consumede in less quantities. Apples and chickoos should be avoided.
