I am travelling to US next week. I need to carry insulin pen, extra insulin vials, glucose meters. Do I need to carry any other document apart from Doctor's prescription ?
Is there any specific thing I need to take care of related to my medicine for security check at the airport ?

You can take your insulin pen aside from the doctor's prescription in your carry-on-luggage (in-cabin baggage). The extra vials and the glucometer may be kept in the checked-in suit case(s).
When myself and my wife entered US from Canada border we were asked several questions regarding the 6 months stock of diabetic medicines ,even after showing Doctor's prescription.Only after seeing the glucometer with the box of strips ,they quickly permitted us to enter US.
You will need to have your prescription from a Doctor on person. If you take any pills please keep them in a transparent ziplock bag other then that you will be fine. In case you have not done so request for a diabetic meal. Drink plenty of water. Feet may swell making shoes tight. Try and walk in the plane.
thanks everyone for your suggestions. I read somewhere that a letter from doctor apart from prescription is required in some countries. i hope for US, only prescription would be enough.
