Starch Rich Long Wheat Substitute?

Starch Rich Long Wheat is not available in our region. Wonder if Barley Flour would be better than wholegrain wheat? Read ideas on this forum (Diabetes India) about using sattoo instead of wheat flour for chappatis. Also someone suggested blend of flours made from equal quantities of whole wheat, barley and black chickpea. Any one who has PP outcomes for both these?
