There are long instructions and calories to be taken in at every meal. I just want to know how much sugar and oil I can consume per month. I have known controlled intake is all right. If I know the quantity per month, it is better as I go for check up only once in a month. Once I know this quantity I shall supply only that much to my kitchen and control things. It is very difficult to control per meal. I don't want to get into minute details of which oil is good, if sugarfree brands are good etc.
Can anyone list out the exact amount of oil... - Diabetes India
Can anyone list out the exact amount of oil, sugar and other grocery items I can consume in a month? I am a type 2 diabetic with 40 u/day.
I do understand this and I am controlling. Let me get it the other way. Supposing I take 1.5 kg of oil per month that goes about 50gm oil per day and 17gm per meal for two of us (incidentally both me and my wife have a common problem), and 10gm of sugar distributed throughout the day that works out to be 300 gms per month, will it be all right? I do purchase lots of vegetables especially green, take soup, plain boiled grams and pulses etc. Totally avoid ghee, ice cream, sweets, potato etc. unless a tiny quantity when serving guests occasionally. In fact, I want to look into my grocery list and control it so that by any chance things don't go beyond my control. Any way thank you for your opinion. I did land in bypass surgery due to reasons unknown as my sugar level rarely exceeded 200 and hardly ever had hypo.
